Situated on the easternmost tip of Fife are two links courses that are home to Crail Golfing Society. Formed in 1786, the society is the seventh oldest in Scotland.

Designed by Gil Hanse, Craighead opened in 1998 and runs to over 6,700 yards. No two consecutive holes face the same direction, meaning managing the wind can be tricky. The course itself provides plenty of challenges, including a right angle dogleg at the second and a 1,200-year-old defensive dyke that straddles a number of holes.
