Located just a few miles south of the home of golf, the five star Fairmont St Andrews resort features two fine par 72 courses. Set on cliffs above the North Sea, the courses offer challenging golf with stunning views of rolling countryside and seascape.

The Torrance has been created in the style of a traditional Scottish links course with an inviting blend of wide, undulating fairways and sizeable rolling greens. The first eight holes let the golfer acclimatise to the fast greens and challenging bunkers. There are many fine holes in the back nine, including the 17th where a drystone wall has to be negotiated to reach the green.

The Kittocks opened in 2002, and after a fairly gentle start the 7,192-yard round gets going at the 5th which stretches along a woodland gully. The course then serves up many awe inspiring holes that are squeezed against the coastline, before the round finishes with a pair of strong par 4s.
