Length: 6,516 yards (5,958m)
Architect: Archie Simpson, redesigned by James Braid
Set in spectacular terrain with views of the North Sea visible from nearly every hole, Murcar Links is a natural seaside course which provides a stern, uncompromising test to golfers.
Originally designed by Archie Simpson and opened in 1909, the course was refined in the 1930’s by James Braid and recent alterations and improvements have been carried out under the watchful eye of Graeme Webster.
Murcar frequently features in the top 100 ranked courses in the UK and over the years has hosted many professional tournaments and amateur championships. Its 6,504 yards are not for the faint-hearted as they curl between the dunes and gorse, calling for every shot in the book and making Murcar a must play course.
